Canadian comedian, Ron James, has just been signed to highlight the entertainment at the MIAC Industry Gala Dinner on Sunday evening, August 21, 2005, at the Toronto Airport Marriott hotel. Ron was voted Canadian Comedian of the Year and garnered a Gemini Award as part of the writing team for This Hour Has 22 Minutes. He recently had the honour of presenting Mike Meyers his star on Toronto's Walk of Fame, causing Mike to quip "Ron is the funniest man in Canada!"
